Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown has found herself a new “ick” or turnoff when it comes to her fiancé Jake Bongiovi. In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1, the 20-year-old actress shared that Jake got a nosebleed on a flight they were on together, and it completely grossed her out. “This morning I was on a flight with my fiancé, and he got a nosebleed. And I got the ick,” Millie confessed. She went on to explain in detail what it was about the nosebleed that made her so uncomfortable.
“Do you know why? One, because he just got a nosebleed at the most inconvenient time. We just landed. The seat belt sign was still on. He’s doing an Eleven,” she said, referencing her Stranger Things character who frequently gets nosebleeds when using her psychic powers.
“I’m like, ‘Calm down.’ Two, he’s acting as if it’s painful, and I’m like, ‘It’s not painful,'” Millie continued. She seemed annoyed that Jake was making a big deal out what she felt was a minor nosebleed.

The irony of the situation was not lost on Millie, whose character Eleven is of course famous for her nosebleeds. It was pretty funny that her real life fiancé would have a nosebleed in front of her.
“He’s doing an Eleven,” Millie quipped. “I’m like, ‘Calm down.'” It makes sense that after years of filming intense nosebleed scenes for Stranger Things, Millie would be completely unfazed by some blood coming from her partner’s nose. Still, for some reason this particular incident grossed her out and gave her the ick.
This Isn’t The First Time Millie Has Revealed One Of Her “Icks”
For those unfamiliar with the term, an “ick” is essentially a turn-off or something that completely grosses you out about the person you’re dating. Millie has shared a few of her icks before, so Jake’s nosebleed is just the latest to make the list.
Back in June 2023, Millie told Glamour UK that one of her big icks is guys who take photos of their food. “I do not take pictures of my meals. That is where I draw the line,” she said. “My camera does not eat first. I think it’s just ridiculous. Put your phone down, eat your meal.”
So Jake should probably avoid taking too many artsy photos of his meals when he’s dining with Millie in the future.
She Also Shared That Men Who Use Umbrellas Give Her The “Ick”
In the same BBC Radio 1 interview where she discussed her fiancé’s nosebleed, Millie also revealed another surprising ick – men who use umbrellas.
“There’s something about it that just feels really pathetic,” she said about guys with umbrellas. “I tried to get on board with it. I did try.”
