After just one month in rehab sources have officially given an update on Demi Lovato’s condition, and what’s next for her long road to recovery.
…annd you bet she’s not gonna stop fighting.
It’s been one month since Demi Lovato’s overdose, but her recovery only seems to be improving. After spending over a week in the hospital, she was then immediately taken to rehab to continue treatment and even checked out of her in-patient facility to meet with a specific psychiatrist in Chicago. Over the last month Demi’s been working hard on her health and is committed to getting better, BUT the journey hasn’t been easy. Sources told People Magazine QUOTE, “She understands the severity of her overdose, and the recovery has been very challenging for her.”
Demi spent her 26th birthday in treatment and will continue her time at the in-patient facility until she’s healthy. Although she is QUOTE, “…in recorvery and doing great” it was also stated that QUOTE, “This is a long road. She wants to be sober. She wants to get help. She understands that it will take a lot of work and commitment to stay healthy, but this is what she wants.”
Demi has ALWAYS been open and honest about her battles with addiction. One month before her overdose she revealed that she had relapsed, after 6 years of sobriety, in her ballad “Sober.” She sings: “I’m sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again / I wanna be a role model, but I’m only human.”
